Definitely get a tour guide because they while give you so much knowledge on the Mayan culture. I suggest enjoying lunch at one of the local establishments before you decide to head back! I'm not a big fan of all the vendors selling most likely Chinese souvenirs. Several times just before arriving we were waved our by tour locations that made it seem like we had to get a tour but, luckily from reading all the reviews before we just keep driving. This historic location is where they played ancient games.
